The First Aid Course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate and basic medical assistance in emergency situations. The course typically covers a range of topics essential for responding effectively to injuries and sudden illnesses. BHPA Chief Examiner Ken Raynes, who is an active paragliding instructor. Therefore the First Aid course is dedicated to flying situations. Key components of the first aid course include:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Wound Care, Choking Response, Fracture and Sprain Management, Medical Emergencies, Burn Care, Shock Management, Injury Prevention, Emergency Action Plans.
This course combines theoretical instruction and hands-on practical exercises to ensure participants gain a thorough understanding of the principles and confidence in applying first aid techniques.
Cost
One day course £130
Two day course £180 (this is Health & Safety certified)
Facilities
Tea, coffee, and toilet facilities will be available. You can either bring your own lunch or lunch is available at the nearby shops.
Saturday night dinner
We can arrange a table at a local pub for those wishing to stay for dinner.
Bunk beds are available in the cottage at £20 per bunk.
Camping £5 per person.
